Hi all, this is my new blog. Some of you probably already know me, some of you this might be your first time, so I will give you all the same introduction.
My name is Randi. I am the wife to Matthew and the mother to Lucy and my unborn fetus. Matt and I have been married for 3 years now or what actually seems like a lifetime, or a sentence depending on which one of us you ask. Our daughter, Lucy, is three and a half. Our unborn fetus is still in the uterine crock pot, if you will, slow cooking now for 22 weeks. We do not know at this point if we are having a boy or a girl. We decided with this pregnancy we would wait. I don't know how long we will actually wait for, but for now, it's until birth.
I previously had a blog called "The Life of Lucy," which I started when Lucy was born. Due to a series of laziness and procrastination, I simply stopped updating that blog and until I delete it, it is forever stuck in the early 2011's. When we found out that we were going to have another minion, I thought it was about time I updated the ol' blog and mix it up a bit. I mean, I couldn't possibly keep a blog called "The Life of Lucy" when I had two kids...way to give the second one a complex from birth right? And instead of doing the easy thing and just changing the title and the blog address, I started a whole new one, why not right?
So my goals with this blog is to keep you updated with various aspects of our lives. It will be directed mainly to our family and friends that live far away, or close for that matter, that we just never see, but it's also open to anyone else too. It won't be your typical "mom" blog, or at least I hope it won't, but it will be filled with all the fun stuff Lucy and I do while I continue to cook #2 and possibly a recipe here and there that we have tried recently. I might, just might, update you all with pictures of Lucy and then #2 here and there...who am I kidding, my kid is freaking cute, so I will be taking pictures and posting them all.the.time.
I also have another blog that I am diligently avoiding, so I am hoping by me keeping this blog I will keep up with my book blog too. My goal is to write at least an hour a day, whether it's this blog, my book blog, or my novel, or just all three. So be prepared world, Randi the blogger is back, with an unlimited amount of intention and procrastination.
