Day 15: Paint box

A while ago, Lucy came to me and asked to paint something.  I love letting her use her artistic abilities to make cool stuff, but I kinda panicked because I didn't have any table cloths (I buy the cheapo ones from the dollar store so I can just toss them after) on hand.  But what I did have was a box from our recent Amazon delivery.  I quickly cut off the flaps and let her have at it.  The only problem with this was that the flaps on the bottom were still loose and open so the paint could get under them and then eventually onto my table/floor/walls as she was painting.

Then, I remembered back when I first discovered Pinterest, there was a pin that would help (isn't there always a pin?) and went digging around (honestly, looking for something I pinned MONTHS ago is more difficult than looking for something I packed and moved 4 times) and finally found this pin.  The post at DIY Home Sweet Home was all I needed to figure out what I was going to do to make the ultimate paint box.

So, Lucy and I (and of course the red one) went off to Michael's in search of the designer Duct Tape that you can now buy for various projects.   She picked it all out.  She decided where all the tape was going to go and in the end, we created a masterpiece.  I notice now, that she almost spelled a word in the middle, so I am thinking that some time this next week we will go back and buy a couple more sheets so we can write her name in tape on the bottom.  But all in all, she loves it.  The plus also is that we can always get more tape and change it up whenever she wants too.

What do you think?
