Get off my towel

Dexter is at that age now where standing up is the most fun thing ever in the whole wide world.  And nothing is sacred anymore.  Papers on the coffee table, DESTROYED.  Glasses of water on the end table, SPILLED.  Nothing is sacred.  Nothing.

One of the other things that happens all the time is that my kitchen towels get pulled off the oven handle every 3 seconds.  I went through this with Lucy too.  I don't know why I hadn't thought of this before, and maybe I have seen it somewhere, but I can't find a pin for it.  Well this is what I came up with.

I found some iron on velcro at the hobby store:

I ironed it on to some existing towels that I had:

And here is the end result.  Dexter can still pull himself up on on the oven, but at least now my towels stay put.
Such a simple simple concept, such a huge improvement.  I am totally doing this with all my towels.

What's something simple that has been staring you in the face this whole time?

  4. Oh my gosh this is so funny cause this is one of my big pet peeves. It doesn't end with little ones. Between my 18 yr old son and my husband I never find the towel where I hung it. I have a fit every time it is moved but it doesn't help. Love your idea but I don't think velcro would work for me, I would have to sew it on! LOL! Thanks for sharing at "I Gotta Try That"
