Review: Wreck-It Ralph

Ok, so I am not a HUUUUUGE cartoon fan.  We watch enough during the week that I want to stab my eyes out.  But, every month, we budget for a movie.  We can almost guarantee that once a month something will come out that we want to see.

Because our TV is typically on all day (yea yea, I know, but we aren't always watching it, it's just noise), Lucy has seen the previews a time or two.  And once she gets in her head that she wants to see a movie, there is hardly a conversation to be had that it doesn't get brought up.

So we went.  We actually went about a week ago, but I have just gotten caught up with other stuff and haven't written my review.  And like I said, I am not a huge cartoon fan, but like Brave (review here), I loved it.  And Lucy loved it.  And Matt loved it.  And Dexter slept through it all, typical.

The movie was brilliantly clever.  The writers did an amazing job and catching the graphics and there were some amazing jokes.  It was a great movie.  There was a scene towards the end that was kind of violent and Lucy was literally on the edge of her seat biting her fingers, but it wasn't terrible.

I really hope this movie comes out on DVD by Christmas time because you know, Lucy might want it, ahem, or maybe it's me that wants it.

Have you seen Wreck-it Ralph yet?  What did you think?
