This weekend we went to a birthday party for one of Lucy's little friends. She also turned 5 and it was an amazing penguin party. The little girl's mom is a good friend of mine and she asked if I would take pictures of the party for her. I gladly accepted. I am not a photographer, nor do I claim to be one, but it's nice when you as the parent are not responsible for having to be behind the camera all the time. So I took pictures of the set up and all the fun the kids had. The best part, she said I could use the pictures of her party on my blog to show it off. So keep your readers open because I'll be posting about that soon.
Today we took a trip to the University of Washington to get family pictures with the cherry blossoms. We just went with some friends, so nothing super professional, but I was so happy with how they came out. It was, of course, raining and freezing and the kids hated it and so did some of the adults, but hey, at least we have a story to tell.
This week I have to jump back on the house work horse and get to purging some of our old crap. I am planning a huge yard sale in a few weeks to clean out the garage and a bunch of stuff that we just don't use anymore from inside. My goal is to do a room a day this week, this will include cleaning out and reorganizing the kid's toys too. Wish me luck with that.
Tomorrow will be the start of my third week in boot camp too. Yes, my third. I haven't lost any weight yet, but I started taking weekly pictures and I can see a difference. I am hoping that by the end of May I will be able to REALLY see a difference. That's my goal at least.
