Thursday Lucy-isms and an update

Lucy woke up this morning and came into our bedroom and yelled:

GOOD MORNING!!

We asked if she was feeling better and she said, "Well, I am feeling like a two today.  When I am feeling like a five then I am aaaaaall better."

Update on her surgery...

Monday after we got home, she did really good.  She was tired and fought us to open her eyes, but she was good.  Tuesday was awful, she threw up, slept most the day and just laid around miserable.  She also fought us to open her eyes most the day.

Wednesday, I had her take a shower and get dressed and then we walked around the framer's market.  I had her wear sunglasses so the light wouldn't hurt her eyes as much and she ran around and had a fabulous time.  I know she over did it though and on our way to the airport to drop off my mom, she fell asleep in the car.

Today, she seems to be doing a lot better too.  We are going to get out a little just to get some sun and to get out of the house.  Her eyes are still super red and look like they are painful, but she only complains of itching here and there.

She quite literally is my hero.  She has been so brave and awesome about everything this week, I simply could not have asked for a better daughter.  She also has been so severely spoiled this week, I don't know how I will ever get her back to normal, but that is not a problem I am that concerned with.  My goal of making this a positive experience for her worked, she has been shown attention by everyone in her life, including random internet friends of mine.

I am very thankful for all the thoughts, prayers and well wishes that everyone has shown her.  You have no idea how much it all means to me.

Again, thank you.
