Workout Wednesday

I thought I should update you with pictures of my progress.   I don't have much in the way of "before" pics meaning, I have been the one behind the camera.  There are some "selfies" with me and the kids, but you can't really see my whole body.  I took a few with just my bra and undies, but there is no way I am sharing those.  So for now you get my "in progress" before pics.

I am back to doing boot camp at Element 5 three days a week.  I have been watching what I eat, a little, but enough.  I am also giving up alcohol, with the exception of Fourth of July, for 30 days.

I don't know my measurements yet, but I am going to in and have them done this week (hopefully) so that I can keep an accurate account of my weight loss.  I know that I won't lose much in pounds as I will in inches, which is fine with me.  I would rather be what I weigh now and be two sizes smaller, than weigh what I weigh now and not be able to fit into my pants.

As of today, I weigh 172.5 and that is after a cup of coffee and boot camp.  That is 5 pounds more than I weighed three weeks ago.  I know the weight increase is mostly because I have been drinking more which is why I am going to cut it out and see where it takes me.

And now for the pictures.  I pains me to post these.

There is minimal sucking in going on here.  This is a vast improvement from my very first picture I took of myself in my skivvies, so I am glad to see that.  Maybe one day when I am rocking a smokin' hot bod I'll post those pictures.  But for now, this is what you get.

Next week, I'll post an update on how it's going, an updated picture and my measurements since I should have them by then.

Are you working out? What are you doing?

  2. You're looking great! I have been working out for 6 months now andhaven't lost a single pound, but I did drop two dress sizes! The number on the scale is really just a number (my new mantra) and I feel better than before. Good luck on your journey and SMILE!

  3. Dont't despair, you might also weigh more because of MUSCLE! I know it's hard to give up drinking (wine for me) when working out.

  4. I've been on Weight Watchers since January. I've had a rough couple of months and I've reached a plateau at 20lbs lost, but I think (hope) I'm about to break through it. My sister and I started running in April and we're loving it. I had a few weeks where I had to sit out because of a foot injury but I'm back to it now and feeling great! Btw, you carry 172lbs much nicer than I carry my 182lbs. I imagine you're not nearly a legal midget, though.
