Last minute 4th of July crafts; Part 3

A few days ago, I was cruising Instagram, and found a picture my friend Steph from Crafting in the Rain posted.  It was a picture of her kids doing this pipe cleaner fireworks project.  I loved it so much I had to copy her.

Supplies:
Black construction paper
Pipe cleaners
Red and blue paint
Glitter

I took three pipe cleaners and twisted them together making what looked like a 6 legged octopus.  The "head" was the handle and the "tentacles" were the sparks.  I had the kids dip their octopus (octopi?) in the paint and then onto their paper causing it too look like a firework!

Before the paint dried, we sprinkled them with the glitter that I won from the glitter round sponsored by Craftprojectideas.com on One Crafty Challenge.

And BAM! like a typical firework explosion, they had a masterpiece!

This kids had a lot of fun with this one, especially since we let the girls sprinkle their own glitter.  Super cute right?
