Utensil pots; revamped

Back in November of 2011, I wrote about making these utensil pots.  They work fabulously and I use them all the time.

Then only thing I started to dislike about them was the color.  A million years ago, I loved this dusty blue.  All our decor was this dusty blue.  But then things changed.  I stopped liking the dusty blue.  I fell in love with teal.  And I slowly started changing everything around me to teal.

In my quest for a life with nothing but teal everything, I went ahead and decided it was time that my utensil pots follow suit.

A quick coat of teal spray paint, a simple utensil cut from my Silhouette Cameo (which was my friend's idea to do the utensils), and BAM, beauty was created.

And because my indecision got the best of me, I put the solid utensils on one side and the outlines on the other.

I couldn't capture the perfection of the color as much as I wanted, but look at them, they are so much more amazing now.  Don't you think?

So run, don't walk, to the hardware store to get yourself some terra cotta pots and paint them your favorite color!  These are so much fun!

  1. I use the yellow one U gave me to hold my "Read the Morning Paper Glasses".......Also, I use it upside down sorta like a column with a big flat top....It's yellow and I wouldn't paint it teal.....Maybe a blue-ish green...
