Monster Recycling Boxes

If you remember back a few months, I tried out for So You Think You're Crafty.  My submission was the Nature Blocks.  And unfortunately I didn't make it.  I talked here why I believe I didn't make it, and I still kind of feel the same way today.

Well a couple weeks ago, I tried out again, and again, I didn't make it.  There were some great projects, but again, I think mine was too, different.  And still, I am ok with that.  I like them and I hope Lucy's teacher likes them, and if she doesn't, I am ok with that too.

But regardless of any of that, I present to you my Monster Recycling Boxes.  The idea behind them is that one of these little boxes will sit on each group of desks in Lucy's classroom and instead of having to get up to throw stuff away every 35 seconds, the kids can use these as their trash cans.

And you know how I am with recycling, how could I make my recycling boxes out of anything other than, a recycled product.  So I saved up some of our milk cartons, chopped off the tops and spray painted them.

I took a click of a trip over to the Silhouette store and pick up this, this, this and this to make my monsters.  I used pipe cleaners that Craftprojectideas.com sent me and some funky rainbow colored yarn.  I dug around in my crafting stash for the rest of the stuff, and finished them off.

I think the pink one with the flower skirt is my favorite.  Which one is yours?
