A "Lost and Found" birthday party

Let's take a trip back in time.  All the way back to April.  Can you remember those days?  Here in Seattle they were beautiful sometimes rainy days, but with the tease of spring.  Flowers and trees were in bloom and all of Lucy's friends (herself included) turned 5.  Within 13 days, Lucy's four closest friends all turned 5.  It was a very busy time.  But it was quite possibly the best way to welcome summer too.

The party that I am going to share with you today is of Lucy's friend Claire's birthday.  She had a penguin party based off the book Lost and Found by Oliver Jeffers.  And what a darling party it was.
Like myself, my friend Molly (Claire's mom) did most the decorations herself (or I should say I do parties like Molly since she's been doing themed parties longer than me).  She ordered a printable set from Etsy and printed and cut everything.  The details she put into this party were incredible.

But please, see yourself!

These were some of the crafts that the kids did at the party, they made penguin necklaces and little penguin people.  Super cute and simple for the ages that were there!

They also made these penguin necklaces too:

Molly read the book to all the kids too, which they all really liked.

I started raining half way through the party, but that didn't ruin anything.  It also made it even more beautiful.  Ellie however... (Molly's youngest daughter)  Ellie thought it was freezing.

At the end, we all sang and wished Claire a super happy 5th birthday.  It was a totally successful party and I was so happy to be not only apart of it but to take pictures of it so they can have this day forever remembered.

  1. Birthday Party?....What about that time U invited me to your house on my birthday and I thought U were throwing a surprise party for me and I just ended up fixing your sprinklers?????????????

  2. I do believe it was not your birthday but some time around your birthday dad ;)

Leave me some love! I read them all and it always makes me feel warm and fuzzy when people comment!
