Day 3: Marshmallow shooters

Day 3

You might remember back in April when I posted about Lucy's rainbow birthday party.  It feels like it was only yesterday that I was planning that party and having so much fun doing so.  I knew even back then that I was going to be doing 31 days of crafting with PVC pipe, which is why I made a couple of the games out of PVC pipe.

One of the activities were these marshmallow shooters.

I did not measure these before I cut.  I simply cut it where it looked right.

And since this was for Lucy's rainbow party, I spray painted them in rainbow colors.

The kids had an absolute blast playing with them, except I think more marshmallows got eaten than shot.  I would also suggest that if you are making these, you make each kid their very own to use.  With the kids that were at the party, they kept getting passed around and well, 5 year olds tend to use a lot of saliva to spit out the marshmallows.  It was a little gross.

And then just for fun, a flash back to the party picture which is missing the purple and the red because the kids jumped at these the first second they arrived.

This post is part of a series:

Day 1
Day 2

  1. Just don't use old marshmellows, they get hard as rocks........!

  2. I made 6 of these & sent them to my son in Iraq to relieve some of the boredom that comes with downtime. Sent targets & colored marshmallows with them....they had a ball. Passed them on to the new guys when they left. I just hope someone kept sending marshmallows. ;)

  3. I wonder if you can use ping pong balls in these.

  4. I wonder if you can use ping pong balls in these?

  5. What paint did you use to paint the PCV pipes that will stick?

Leave me some love! I read them all and it always makes me feel warm and fuzzy when people comment!
