Day 7: The Spider

Day 7

A spider.

Why not.

I do hate them after all.  But I need to face those fears.

If you read my audition for Verity Mom, then you would know that I am terrified of spiders.  And I do mean, terrified.  I have been known to wake Matt up from a dead sleep to kill them.  I hate spiders.

So why did I decide to do this project?  Well, it's pretty awesome if I do say so myself.  I couldn't NOT make the spider.

If you remember the ring toss game that I posted about on day 4, I decided I didn't need three ring toss games.  So I took the two pastel colored ones apart to make them into the spider.

And my trusty side kick, Lucy, helped.

When they were we got them all apart, we put them back together, but we used 45 degree elbows instead of 90 degree.  After they were all put back together, I spray painted them flat black.  And since I already had the black paint out, I painted that witches hat too.

When it was dried, I cut holes into the sides of this crafting pumpkin from Michael's.  I picked it up for $5, whaaaat?

Lastly, I added these little googly eyes.  They are only temporary though because the plan is, for Halloween, I am going to cut holes for the eyes and then drop glow sticks inside so it's eyes will glow.

And that's day 7 for you!
