Lucy loves tic tac toe. I don't know why. I remember loving the game myself as a kid. And I still don't know what the appeal was then. But, Lucy loves it. And because it's something so simple to indulge, I couldn't help but make a travel game for her.
I went digging in my supplies and found one of my extra Altoid's tins. Then I covered it in Mod Podge.
I then glued on a piece of white paper. I did this for two reasons. One, it covered the indentations of the Altoids logo. And second, it helped bring out the colors of the washi tape that I used next.
Then I wrapped the box with washi tape.
While that was drying, I went and found some little wooden circles that I cut for a project back in December that I decided not to do. And then I pulled out my paints
I asked Lucy what colors she wanted me to paint and she picked this pink and this green. A gal after my own heart.
While they were drying, I pulled out my vinyl samples that I got in the mail recently from 3M. I thought this glittery blue would be the best since I had used the glittery mod podge.
I stuck the letters to the front of the case and LOVED it.
Now for the inside. I used another one of the sample pieces and cut it down to fit inside. And then I cut out a tic tac toe game out of purple vinyl since purple is Lucy's favorite color.
And there you go, a super cute little travel tic tac toe game that I can keep in my purse so that when we go out, we can play anytime she wants.
