Each week I write out this menu plan. I research recipes, various things to reuse etc. I work really hard on it. I would do this even if I didn't share it with you. I love menu planning.
I plan my menus with every intention of following it to the tee. My intentions are not to eat out, but if you read in my "About" page, I hate doing dishes so sometimes that wins over and we eat out so that I don't have to do the dishes.
And so where I plan my weeks to not eat out...we do. Sometimes a lot. Whew I am glad I have that off my chest.
I have another confession.
Last week, we ate out once. Just once. Thursday I broke out in a horrible hive rash from an allergic reaction to sun block (leave it to me with the stupidest and most random allergies). By Friday, I was an itchy, irritable mess. It just so happened that Matt needed a ride from the bus stop and so we went out for pizza. But for the whole entire week, we ate in. It was awesome!
Here's to another week of eating in!
L-grilled cheese and fruit
D-BBQ chicken thighs with brussel sprouts and bacon
L-tuna melt for me, PB&J for the kidlets and blueberries and chips
D-cheeseburgers and baked beans
L-quesadillas and left overs with fruit

L-"snack" lunch, PB&J with seasonal fruit from the farmer's market (if the kids don't eat it all at the market like they did last week)
D-beef ribs with a brown sugar dry rub (I'll actually write what I did this time and share it with you all. They were AMAZING last week!)
