Wooden Stamp Necklace

When I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do for this day's wood project, I started digging through my beads and found these old wooden discs, the same ones I used for my washi tape earrings.  I decided then I wanted to make something with them but I wasn't quite sure what.

I also learned how to make these little swirly things and I love how they look so I decided to make one instead of drilling a hole like with the earrings.  And then I glued them with E6000 glue.

After the glue was dried, I had a difficult time deciding what I wanted to do with the wood circle, did I want to glue something on top of it?  Did I want to paint it?  Finally I decided on stamping it!  How simple right?  After I stamped the flower over the dots, I was a little upset that I did because I kind of love the dots just alone.

The colored wooden beads I used came from Lucy's bead kit, shhhh don't tell her!

The end result was better than I imagined!  Lucy hasn't seen it yet, but I think she is going to just love it and want to keep it for herself!  And I'd like to hear from you, do you like it better with or without the flower?

Here is day 7 complete!

  1. I like it better with the flower. How did you make the little swirl you used in place of drilling a hole? Is it thick jewelry wire?

Leave me some love! I read them all and it always makes me feel warm and fuzzy when people comment!
