This Week's Menu

Well hello there!

October was a super crazy month, not only was it my 31 day challenge month, it was my birthday month, my best friend came to town, my mom came to town and Matt went out of the country for a week.

Whew, it was intense.

Now we are back to regularly scheduled programming around these parts!  Menu planning back in full force, other projects that aren't wood related are coming and it's NANOWRIMO!!!!  Which means every night, I will spending my time writing.  I want to finally finish my book and I need to write 50,000 words.  If you are planning on doing Nanowrimo, join me on my writing sprints!  I'll be posting the daily start times on Twitter using the hashtag #sowdersprints so check it out!!

And in honor of this month's writing challenge, I am going to be doing book crafts and activities! I've got some fun stuff planned such as crafts using old books, book themed activities for the kids and and book inspired crafts!  I can't wait to share them with you!

In the mean time, here is our menu and maybe, just maybe there will be a book inspired themed dinner thrown in too!

Monday - pork chops and baked pears with walnuts and honey glaze
Tuesday - chicken ropa vieja
Wednesday - Spaghetti squash sausage lasagna boats
Thursday - Roasted Acorn Squash and Leek Soup with Pepitas
Friday - homemade pizza
Saturday - spaghetti and meatballs (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs)
Sunday - baked chicken and spinach artichoke

There won't be any pics of Lucy's lunch this week, she's decided that she wants to eat lunch at school (apparently that is suuuuuper fun), so we are doing some trial days of school lunches.  And I am skipping jokes this week but I'll have them back next week!  Have a great week everyone!
