Summer reading list for kids

This post contains affiliate links.

This summer, I organized a book club for Lucy and her other soon-to-be second grade friends.  Lucy is always jealous of my book club night so I figured, why not make one for her!

We get together once a week on the same day and all the kids talk about the book using a little questionnaire that I have.  It's the same list of questions for each book and usually I let the kids ask the questions and run the club.

Since it's been such a hit around these parts, I figured I would share our reading list with you! All of these books are about 100-140ish pages long.  It should take the average reader a week to finish each book.  I also tried to dig deep into the archives for these books, you know, because the oldies are always goodies!

In no particular order:

Pippi Longstocking
How to Eat Fried Worms
The Chocolate Touch
Nate the Great
The Hundred Dresses
Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer
Stuart Little
Frindle
Sisters
Smile

What books did your kids read over the summer?

Leave me some love! I read them all and it always makes me feel warm and fuzzy when people comment!
