About

 1. I'm an oddball.
I also think I am the funniest person I know. Others do not feel the same way.  I am ok with this.

2. I'm married to this guy.
He's my favorite, shhh, don't tell my kids. We had a full on American-Scottish wedding where all the dudes wore kilts. At one point during picture time, all of them mooned the ladies. We also had a bag piper play which was probably my favorite part of our wedding.  Well except for that part where I got to say 'I do' because that was pretty cool too. Matt is a pretty good guy if I don't say so myself.  I mean, he has to be to put up with my craziness.

3. I have two kids, Lucy and Dexter.     They are actually my favorites, shhh, don't tell my husband.  Lucy was born in 2008 and Dexter in 2012.  Lucy is an oddball like me, and Dexter, well Dexter is just angry.  But if I was a soulless ginger*, I'd be angry too.

4. We live in Seattle.
We used to live in Las Vegas.  It was hot there.  Sure it's a dry heat but when you are producing enough sweat to rejuvenate Lake Mead, well you can just imagine how miserable it is. We had the wonderful opportunity to move in 2012 and we haven't looked back since.  Seattle have given us everything we wanted in a city.  We even love the rain.
5. I'm pretty crafty.
Maybe you've noticed that if you've been reading my blog for awhile.  There isn't much craft wise that I haven't tried.

6. I love to read.
And by love, I mean I will stay up until 3am to finish a book even when I have to wake up at 5 the next day.  In 2010, I read 117 books.  I am very proud of this.  Since then, I have read a total of maybe 15.  So sad.  Maybe one day my kids will leave me and my kindle alone long enough to finish a book.

7. My favorite color is teal.
At least today.  "The color of gang green" -The Wedding Planner

8. I am a chronic over-thinker.
I will write and re-write a post a million times to make sure I offend the least amount of people.  If you are one of the people I have offended, I didn't mean it, but I will dwell on it for at least a week.

9. I love to cook.
I also think that I am a good cook.  I would rather eat my food than eat out.  But I hate doing the dishes, so I would rather eat out than have to do the dishes.

10. I am a stay at home mom.
This does not mean that we actually stay at home by any means. The more we get out of the house, the longer my house stays clean.

11. I am not a runner.
But I run.  I fall into peer pressure easily and my new friends here in Seattle made me start.

12. I am not a hippy.
Contrary to what my cousin says, I am not in fact, a hippy. We cloth diapered for a while.  I make my own chicken stock.  I make my own shower cleaner.  This does not stop me from buying chicken stock when I run out or using bleach when the bathroom needs a deep clean.

13. I am addicted to my iPhone.
Recently I was at a gathering and I mentioned to someone they should friend request me on Facebook.  She sent the request and like an iPhone ninja, I accepted her friend request before she put her phone away.  She then asked if I had my settings set to automatically accept friends, which I told her I was just that fast.  I don't know why this is important for you to know.

14. I hate sleep.
No really I do.  The hours I spend sleeping are hours I could be using to do other more fun/productive things.  I sometimes wish I was a SIM that just needed to drink 8 cups of coffee to stay up through the night.

15. I am a writer.
Maybe you didn't know this.  I mean, maybe you just look at the pictures I post.  However, there is some writing that gets done here.  I am also in the process of writing three books.  They may or may not ever get done.  And if they do get done, I may or may not let anyone read them.

So there you go.  Everything you need to know about me.  Any questions?

*I typically joke around that my son is a soulless ginger.  I do not mean this in a negative way, it's only meant to be funny so please laugh.

  5. Hi Randi-
I relocated with my family to Seattle a few months ago. It's nice to see that there are quite a few other bloggers in the area. Hope someday we can get a few other bloggers together and connect, even if it's just for coffee or something.
